Photos of the Week: Enter the Tiger cubs

When I look back over my site over the past 2 years and see its slow maturation, its gentle embrace of refinement (I seem to be saying fuck a lot less, I should stop listening to my parents), I too have noticed that I no longer do a photo of the week. When I first got started with this online, slapping together of my meandering thoughts on traveling the world into the proverbial ink, I also let my mind wander a bit and post whatever tugged at my heart strings. But as bloggers tend to do, they refine, refine, refine and  hyper focus on “their niche”. So just like the days of yesteryear, my “Perros of the week” – that is dogs of the week for those who wisely chose to study French in high school (stupidos) – disappeared quietly from my site. However, my love affair for animals, particularly canines,  has not waned in the slightest, as evidenced by a long trail of failed relationships where the girl I dated got 2 points on the plus side to tac against her crazy score if she had an adorable pooch.  However, another thing happens when a man starts to mature in life: he stops giving a shit.

So with that in mind, I have decided to bring back my Photo of the Week, which the more I think about it, has absolutely nothing to do with all that shit I wrote above. However, it is September 20th, the new iPhone has arrived, and I must fight a bunch of geeks if I want to get one before I head off to another undisclosed location (hint: nanny states & high taxed goods) for my next travel job.

And please forgive me. As you can see, I couldn’t pick just one. Just like you can’t pick your favorite child, well – actually, yeah you can. It is the one that gets good grades and shuts his pie hole. Anyway, you get 4 for the price of 1.

Hi, my name is Turner. I travel the world, hustle to find interesting jobs, and write about what happens when you read too many self-help books.

I was looking into doing something like this at Inti Wara Yassi in Bolivia, where you can take care of jaguars and ocelots and monkeys and stuff. But to take care of the jaguar, you have to be in amazing shape, so you can keep up with it when you take it for a walk in the jungle. But seeing pictures like these and thinking about jaguar walks might just be the motivating factor to get me to go for a run or something.

PS: Tigers like laser pointers just as much as house cats do. Have fun!
