Searching for Jobs in Cape Town for Expats: the quest begins

jobs in Cape Town for Expats

So I have been contemplating my next big boy job move for a while now, and one of the places that I am keen on diving in on is….drum roll: South Africa. Cape Town South Africa to be more precise. I visited South Africa 8 years ago when I was but a mere pup and was absolutely blown away at the natural beauty there. Penguins, beaches, mountains, whales breaching, and a million and one animals that can kill me. Basically the perfect places to find some wicked jobs abroad.

Safari guide would be my first suggestion … good luck on the overall hunt!

Working in a safari lodge…although that’s more Africa in general. For Cape Town…how bout on a wine farm

I’m going to go for the obvious and say you should be a safari guide. I think something playing to the romance of the region (it’s Africa! So many people have romantic notions about the place!) whould be perfect and safari guide would do that.

Hey Turner, is safety a concern at all in Capetown? I was just doing something research for a new article and the city came up as one of the most dangerous in the world. It’s obviously also astoundingly beautiful. Will you be taking extra precautions?

    Hey Turner,

How long are you in SA for? If you still keen to work at a wine farm I know a few people in the game and would be happy to see if I could put you in touch with someone.

Otherwise from a completely random job I think should try shark spotter ( you can find them above muizenberg beach) otherwise a whale crier in Hermanus.

If you passing through joburg at all let me know if you’d like to grab a beer, it would be awesome to chat to you about your travels.

    Cheers
    Barry
